Job summary

Merck seeks a strategic leader for Global Clinical Trial Operations in Rahway, New Jersey. This role drives the Program and Study Management organization, translating therapeutic area objectives into robust operational strategies and aligning cross-functional teams across the development portfolio.

You will own end-to-end delivery of clinical programs, oversee timelines and budgets, and lead modernization using AI and analytics to reduce risk and improve quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field is required, advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years in clinical development or equivalent; strong program leadership.
• Experience leading cross-functional global teams and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Translate TA objectives into executable operational strategies for clinical programs.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of clinical programs on time, budget, and quality.
• Lead risk assessment, KPI/KQI tracking, and continuous process improvement.
• Drive AI-enabled modernization of trial operations and governance.
• Act as escalation point for complex operational issues across functions.
