Job summary

V2X Inc in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic Inspector to inspect and diagnose a wide range of equipment, including heavy and commercial units, under guidance from Team Lead and Supervisor. Qualifications

• Five to ten years of automotive/general equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to service and repair tactical, non-tactical, commercial and construction equipment.
• Ability to diagnose/repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and cooling systems and components.
• Ability to analyze and interpret publications related to vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Ability to verify serviceability and determine reparability and required parts.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental issues in vehicle maintenance.
• Provide own OSHA-compliant tools per OSHA 1910 Subpart P.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and operate wheeled and commercial equipment to determine serviceability and operation.
• Inspects, tests and troubleshoots equipment including tractors, loaders, generators, lifts, forklifts and lawn equipment.
• Identify faults beyond normal wear and tear (OTFWT) and determine repair scope.
• Disspose of hazardous materials per regulations.
• Use G-Army and standard office software tools.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and asset control at all times.
• Work with repair/test equipment such as welders and electrical testers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
