Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp seeks a Director of Government Affairs to lead the company’s advocacy strategy across federal, state, and global levels. The role reports to the VP of Trade Compliance, Government Affairs and Sustainability and focuses on shaping policy with policymakers, agencies, and trade associations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, public administration or related field.
• 10+ years of government affairs, regulatory or public policy experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Deep understanding of federal and state legislative/regulatory processes.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and report on legislative, regulatory, and budget developments affecting the enterprise.
• Represent the company in industry coalitions, trade associations, and advocacy forums to build visibility and influence.
• Engage with government officials, trade associations, and community stakeholders to advance policy priorities.
• Build bipartisan relationships with key congressional offices, especially armed services and energy committees.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory proposals from agencies at the federal and international levels.
• Partner with internal functions to identify risks, opportunities, and align policy with business strategy.
• Coordinate work of external lobbyists, consultants and associations to ensure aligned messaging.
• Prepare executive updates and talking points for internal groups on legislative topics.
