Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Generator Winding Technician to support winding operations on turbine generator equipment at customer sites globally. You will assist in electro-mechanical testing, inspections, and winding tasks, while maintaining safety, quality, and schedules.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of winding experience, a high school diploma, and ability to travel up to 100%. You will work at customer sites and in varied environments, using tools like Hytorq equipment and pneumatic

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of related generator winding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to travel up to 100% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
• Availability to work at customer sites and meet aggressive schedules.
• Must be able to enter and exit generators and work in awkward positions inside a generator frame.

Responsibilities

• Assist winding operations to meet manufacturing and engineering specifications for turbine generator field and factory equipment.
• Assist with electro-mechanical operations related to testing and servicing turbine generator equipment.
• Perform inspections, specialty services, and related work assignments.
• Assist winding and machining, assembly, tool setup and operation, and documentation.
• Communicate work instructions clearly with leaders and peers to maintain schedule.
