Job summary

Aquent Talent is seeking a dedicated Apparel Product Designer to ensure garments meet high standards of fit and aesthetics. You will translate creative designs into detailed specs for costing and first prototypes, while collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams to maintain consistency across the global product line.

You will apply knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading, while ensuring brand and cost requirements are met and risk management is considered

Qualifications

• Understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, alterations, and grading.
• Strong knowledge of fit, construction, and quality standards.
• Ability to align brand, customer, and cost requirements.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management or tech pack systems.
• Analytical skills to assess complex situations and recommend solutions.
• Proven collaboration and influencer capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and execute design aesthetics through consistent fit and construction, aligned with customer needs.
• Collaborate and influence cross-functional partners and vendors effectively.
• Translate design concepts into detailed specifications for costing and first prototypes.
• Leverage fit strategies and maintain overall customer fit consistency across products.
• Troubleshoot and communicate fit issues promptly and clearly.
• Provide input on fit & construction risk management strategies.
• Ensure both physical and digital samples comply with brand standards throughout the product creation process.
