Job summary

Citi is seeking a Full Stack Tech Engineering Lead – VP in New York to own the end-to-end technical strategy for a high-throughput cash and intraday liquidity platform. You will guide a global engineering organization, shape multi-year roadmaps, and drive AI-first, cloud-native solutions across regions while ensuring regulatory alignment.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of software engineering, deep Java/Spring Boot experience, and a proven ability to design fault-tolerant distributed systems

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering and hands-on experience.
• Experience designing and operating multi-region distributed systems.
• Deep hands-on proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy and multi-year roadmap for the platform.
• Design and deliver highly available distributed systems across geographies.
• Drive an AI-first engineering culture and embed AI tooling in practices.
• Lead and grow a global engineering organization of engineers, architects, and PMs.
• Stay hands-on in design reviews, code quality, and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with risk/compliance/infrastructure to ensure security and governance.
