Qualifications

• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules and regulations as they apply to freight.
• Experience handling domestic and international shipping operations.
• Ideal candidate negotiates carrier contracts for best rates.
• Ability to manage multiple branch locations and modes (LTL, truckload).
• Understanding of incoterms, tariffs, and landed-cost concepts.
• Familiarity with freight documentation and compliance audits.
• Strong analytical skills for KPI tracking and cost control.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to increase efficiency and reduce freight costs.
• Negotiate contracts with multinational LTL carriers for best rates.
• Coordinate inter-company and direct customer shipping from all branches.
• Oversee maintenance of delivery trucks for safety and DOT compliance.
• Lead international transport planning and trade execution.
• Ensure on-time delivery and compliance with service requirements.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and submit capital expenditure requests for fleet.
• Oversee HTS classification, broker instructions, and compliance.
• Maintain audit-ready shipment files and accurate invoices.
