Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Food Safety Manager within the Food Safety & Quality organization to lead the safety, compliance, and continuous improvement of WWGS Private Brands. You will manage facility approvals, due diligence, CAPAs, and cross-functional collaboration using tools like Foodlogiq, CMX1, and PLM to drive data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, audit leadership, and supplier scorecarding, with a focus on FDA/FSMA compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• 5+ years of conducting workplace risk investigations experience.
• Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements.
• Experience leading and influencing your team or organization.

Responsibilities

• Facility Approval & Due Diligence: end-to-end qualification of new food production sites for WWGS Private Brands, ensuring regulatory, hygiene, and safety compliance.
• Ongoing Due Diligence: maintain and update due diligence documentation.
• Risk Assessment: periodic risk assessments to identify hazards and mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: work with Procurement, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Quality teams.
• Audit Leadership: coordinate and lead internal and third-party audits; ensure CAPA closure.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

5+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience

5+ years of conducting workplace risk investigations experience

Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements

Experience leading and influencing your team or organization
