Job summary

The George Washington University’s Global Food Institute seeks a Global Initiatives Director to develop and oversee a global portfolio focused on advancing equity and justice in the global food system. The role involves conceptualizing, writing, and managing policy briefs and translational research, while shaping the portfolio’s direction and published products.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director will collaborate with GW partners to build out ideas, communications, and engagement

Qualifications

• Experience in international or global food policy issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advance a research and programmatic agenda for GFI.
• Translate research for non-academic audiences through policy briefs and op-eds.
• Lead and contribute to grant proposals and funding applications.
• Design and lead GFI events to engage GW stakeholders, policymakers, and media.
