Job summary

The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids is seeking an Associate Director for the Food Policy Program in Washington, DC. The role leads advocacy efforts to advance nutrition and healthy food environments in global south countries, reporting to the Director of Food Policy.

Based in Washington, DC, the AD will guide country teams, negotiate grants and contracts, and engage civil society, government partners, and donors to drive policy change for healthier food systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience working on policy issues in global health.
• Experience with policy advocacy and public health initiatives.
• Experience working with civil society and government stakeholders.
• Impeccable project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English required; French/Spanish highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee efforts focusing on policy and regulatory change to reduce unhealthy food consumption.
• Advocate for mandatory policies to promote healthy, affordable food options.
• Collaborate with NGO partners and funders to drive policy change campaigns.
• Provide strategic advocacy guidance and oversight to in-country coordinators.
