Job summary

IRCA Group in Union City, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems across our food manufacturing plant, ensuring uptime and safety.

The role requires 2 years’ experience, reading manuals, electrical troubleshooting, meter use, and proficiency with hand and power tools. You’ll support welding/fabrication, operate forklifts, and collaborate with other plant departments to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• 2 years as Maintenance Mechanic or similar role; food manufacturing preferred.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to read safety and maintenance manuals.
• Strong computer skills and CMMS experience.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Able to work up to a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machinery and perform preventative maintenance.
• Read and follow instructions and operation manuals.
• Electrical competency for troubleshooting and testing with meters.
• Maintain inspection and service schedules for equipment.
• Work with piping, pumps, motors, valves, gears, belts, and pulleys.
• Operate sit-down forklift and/or articulating boom lift.
• Use hand and power tools; assist with welding/fabrication.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with regulations.
• Collaborate with plant departments and CMMS processes.
