Job summary

Union Maritime seeks a Reporting Manager to oversee the Group’s reporting for 150+ entities, ensuring IFRS compliance with timely consolidation and robust internal controls.

The role requires expert knowledge of IFRS, consolidation, and financial statement preparation, plus advanced Excel and ERP experience. You will liaise with auditors and drive process improvements across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting or audit, including 2–5 years in shipping/maritime.
• Experience managing audits, statutory reporting, and consolidated group reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing/reviewing consolidated financial statements.
• Experience with IFRS 16, IFRS 10, IFRS 16, IAS 39, IFRS 9.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Power Query and Pivot Tables.
• Experience with Dynamics ERP and consolidation systems (Fluence, SAP/Oracle).
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate journals for a group of 150+ entities with review and processing duties.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with KPI commentary for senior management.
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Review loan agreements and monitor covenants for compliance.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda for complex IFRS transactions.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide required documentation on time.
• Ensure tax, statutory, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions (US, UK, Singapore, Bermuda).
• Support improvement of financial reporting processes, systems, and internal controls.
