Job Title

Global Finance Lead

Job Description Summary

Directs the Financial Control activities for real estate services/facilities management Global Occupier Account. Services include but are not limited to the operations and maintenance of office facilities within strict compliance with KPIs stated within the Management Agreement, Policy & Procedures, and defined client account objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and ensuring budgetary control, adherence to reforecasts, compliance with client policies, oversight of all day-to-day activities of the accounting and finance team, and ensuring accurate financial management and reporting of the account.

The Financial Director ensures that the account's finance function is organized, efficient, and produces accurate results in compliance with the management agreement. Specific goals include recommendations to encourage the continuous improvement of financial performance.

The Financial Director will be a proactive member of the Account Management Team with direct involvement in and accountability for the overall financial performance.

Job Description

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• Graduate work or CPA certification preferred.
• 10 years’ experience in real estate or related industry, including at least 5 years in commercial property management.
• 5 years supervisory or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of SOC1 and SOX Compliance.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Working experience with real estate accounting systems, preferably Yardi, as well as internal and external audit functions.
• Experience as a department head including business planning, budgeting, personnel management, and staff modeling.
• Capability to manage, coach, and counsel a team of financial professionals.
• Strong team player with ability to build effective relationships.
• Energetic, lateral thinker with a commercial approach.
• High personal drive and motivation to succeed.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with high-quality report writing.
• Ability to learn quickly and stay updated on developments.

Principal Responsibilities

• Finance lead and business advisor to Client Managing Director.
• Maintain high standards of financial control, implementing and reviewing systems and internal controls.
• Manage the finance function and oversee the finance team.
• Anticipate client needs to add value through financial management.
• Ensure proper accounting and reporting of expenses and tax implications.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Forecast, model, and analyze expenses.
• Oversee cash management and disbursements.
• Identify risks and opportunities related to budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain financial ledgers, processes, and controls.
• Produce timely internal financial reports.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and consolidations.
• Coordinate with Client Accounting Platform to ensure standards compliance.
• Participate in training programs for financial staff and clients.
• Lead strategy discussions and financial issue resolution.
• Continuously improve efficiencies and quality.
• Maintain communication with client leadership.
