Job summary

Apex Tool Group is seeking a Finance Director to oversee the financial health, strategic planning, capital allocation, and risk management of the global Cleco/Apex business. This senior role partners with the SVP and reports to the ATG CFO, leading a multinational finance team across Europe, North America, and Asia.

The role requires 10-15+ years in corporate finance with strong governance, GAAP discipline, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CFA a plus.
10-15+ years of progressive corporate finance experience, with at least 3-5 years supporting a specific business unit.

Responsibilities

Lead FP&A: budgeting, long-term strategic planning, and quarterly budget updates.
Track KPIs, analyze variances, and deliver insights to drive margin expansion and cost control.
Evaluate pricing strategies, capex requests, new product launches, and business development deals.
Oversee budgeting, planning, and controls for manufacturing and distribution facilities.
Ensure accurate monthly close, GAAP adherence, and robust internal controls with corporate accounting.
Build and mentor a high-performing team of financial analysts and staff.
