Job summary

AmaWaterways River Cruises is seeking a senior Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting across our U.S., European and offshore operations. The role owns the close process, policy design and internal controls, partnering with the CFO and auditors to mature the finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 10+ years accounting, including 5+ years leading teams.
• US GAAP and IFRS reporting experience required.
• Multi-currency accounting experience.
• Experience designing and implementing internal controls.
• SOX knowledge not required.
• Experience running close and external audits.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience; strong Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close with a disciplined calendar.
• Lead consolidated financial reporting across entities and currencies (US GAAP/IFRS).
• Design and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Lead transition to a well-controlled environment with risk-based controls.
• Develop the accounting team and offshore groups.
• Oversee guest deposits, cruise revenue and related accounts.
• Manage external audit interactions and remediation.
