Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Global Finance Auditor who can work independently, assess risk, and clearly communicate audit results to senior management. This role may be based in Willis Tower, Chicago, or Abbott Park, IL, and involves a cross-functional rotation over 18-24 months.

You will plan and execute audits of Abbott Laboratories’ domestic and international affiliates, evaluate internal controls, and mentor new auditors while developing career opportunities within Abbott Finance.

Qualifications

• 3-6 busy seasons in internal/external audit practice, Big 4 preferred.
• Experience auditing SEC clients and SOX processes.
• Ability to analyze large data sets to assess scope and risk.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to advise on risk.
• Travel 40-60% to domestic and international locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial audits of Abbott Laboratories' domestic and international Affiliates.
• Plan, fieldwork, and wrap-up stages of audits.
• Assess internal controls and suggest process improvements.
• Document audit work clearly and timely.
• Mentor new auditors and promote teamwork.
