Job summary

FieldCore is seeking a Welder to cut, shape and assemble metalwork and piping with precision for gas turbine-related projects in Australia. You will operate welding equipment, review mechanical drawings and ensure safety and quality throughout the process.

Role requires travel domestically and internationally, flexibility to work overtime, and a background in power generation is preferable. ISO certification is a plus and commitment to FieldCore values is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ISO certification requirements are desirable.
• Experience in power generation (gas/steam turbines) and related equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select proper tools and follow welding procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings accurately.
• Weld, grind back to original shape, and inspect joints.
• Operate oxy-acetylene and gas torches and related equipment.
• Support field projects and travel as needed.
• Work holidays, weekends and overtime as required.
