Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform microprocessor-based system start-ups and on-site troubleshooting at customers' facilities worldwide.

You will assist senior technicians, provide technical support to customers and sales teams, and respond to emergency 24-hour service needs, traveling as required.

Candidates should have electronics education, strong communication, ability to lift 35 lbs, and a valid driver's license; willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent work/military experience.
• Ability to read color code charts and work in an industrial environment (cannot be color blind).
• Ability to lift 35 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Completion of required skill elements.
• Six (6) months previous experience as a Service Technician I.
• Ability to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.
• Must be able to satisfy international visa requirements.
• Ability to obtain BOSIET Certification & TWIC Credentials.

Responsibilities

• Perform microprocessor-based system start-ups at domestic and international customer locations.
• Assist senior technical personnel in proving system/station configurations on in-house systems.
• Provide technical support to customers, sales representatives, and Service Technicians as required.
• Provide emergency (24-hour) technical support to customers and Service Technicians in their effort to troubleshoot system problems, traveling to the customer's site if necessary.
• Assist in performing microprocessor-based system upgrades and develop a working knowledge of all current microprocessor system feature software releases.
• Become proficient in the use of the SST, Console, SP2 & E3 Configurators.
• Become proficient in system troubleshooting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
