Job summary

Nordson Test & Inspection in Chandler, AZ is seeking an experienced Field Applications Engineer to join our global team. You will apply technical knowledge to support pre-sales activities and implement equipment solutions for customers, driving value with AXI and AOI systems.

Responsibilities include on-site system setup, customer training, creating application reports, and collaborating with the applications group.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years in a similar technical role.
• Experience with electronics manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Strong hands-on attitude.
• Willingness to work in a lab/industrial environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales support during evaluation periods requiring technical knowledge.
• Participate in pre-sales discussions with customers as a technical expert.
• Provide high level applications support to set up and program systems at customer sites.
• Perform customer training to maximise machine utilisation.
• Create applications reports demonstrating equipment capabilities.
• Collaborate on technical publications and application notes.
• Diagnose and resolve customer issues with AXI equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software during installation.
• Attend tradeshows and industry events to demonstrate equipment or present technical information.
• Gather intelligence on markets, competitors and customers and provide analysis.
• Provide training material for new products and features
