Job summary

Global Connect Technologies seeks an experienced engineer to design and develop exterior lighting systems, ensuring compliance with global requirements and robust engineering practices. You will contribute to the full product lifecycle, from concept to validation, encompassing optics, materials, and manufacturing considerations.

The role emphasizes homologation awareness, GD&T, and collaboration across engineering disciplines to meet performance and quality targets.

Qualifications

Experience in design and development of Exterior Lighting systems.
Exposure to global requirements for exterior lamps including regulatory requirements and related design aspects such as light sources, venting, reflector designs, optics, sealing, material, air flow, condensation, mounting and GD&T.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (multi-K injection molding, lamp assembly techniques, lamp testing & validation).
Homologation knowledge of Exterior lighting systems and care to be taken in product design.

Responsibilities

Lead project delivery from kickoff to implementation in exterior lighting systems.
Perform QFD, benchmarking and feature analysis for lighting products.
Prepare engineering drawings and models for release, CAE and physical validation support.
Support DFMEA and DVP preparation of BOM for exterior lighting systems.
Finalize mounting strategies for exterior trim parts and lighting components with interface parts to meet performance and quality targets.
