ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Design & Release Engineer for Exterior Lighting to drive design, validation, and industrialization of exterior lighting systems from concept to mass production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across optical, mechanical, electrical, and software domains, manage design changes, coordinate with suppliers, and support regulatory compliance and cost targets, while mentoring and contributing to supplier management initiatives.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• 0–5 years of automotive engineering experience (OEM or Tier 1).
• Experience with design, testing, or release processes.
• Internships or co-ops in lighting or automotive components are a plus.

Mansioni

• Design exterior lighting components and perform 3D/2D modeling using NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
• Optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost.
• Collaborate with optical and electrical teams to integrate lighting systems into vehicle architectures.
• Contribute to system requirement definitions (optical performance, thermal, regulatory).
• Work with suppliers to develop and iterate prototypes based on testing feedback.
• Plan and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP&R) to validate components.
• Conduct functional and durability tests and analyze results.
• Support DFMEAs and PFMEAs for risk mitigation.
• Assist in engineering changes and deviations; support pilot production phases.
