Job summary

GEODIS is seeking an Export Coordinator in New Jersey to receive and edit export orders, prepare essential documents (invoices, export declarations, certificates of origin, letters of credit), and arrange shipments through contracted carriers. You will review domestic and foreign trade regulations and maintain organized records to support accurate customs compliance.

You will communicate with vendors, government agencies, and customers, coordinate with Customer Service to ensure satisfaction,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in exportation of goods.
• Knowledge of Letters of Credit preferred.
• Knowledge of movement of freight via ocean.
• PC literate with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receives and edits export orders.
• Prepares documents such as commercial invoices, export declarations, certificate of origin, letters of credit.
• Prepares international export documents timely and accurately according to customs and customer requirements.
• Arranges shipments through shipper's contracted carriers.
• Reviews pertinent domestic and foreign trade regulations.
• Communicates with vendors, government agencies and customers.
• Coordinates with Customer Service to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintains SOP manual of international export requirements for each customer.
• Maintains organized files monthly by customer for all international shipments.
• Provides clerical support including sorting of faxes and documents.
