Job summary

Graphcore in Austin, Texas is seeking an Export Control & Regulatory Compliance Project Manager to lead classification and licensing programs for cutting-edge AI hardware.

You will build automated classification workflows, coordinate with Legal and export SMEs, and drive multi-jurisdiction compliance across BIS/EAR requirements while supporting audits and supplier transfers.

Negotiable salary with a focus on risk management, process automation, and global trade controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years export control experience in semiconductor, hardware, or technology industry.
• Deep knowledge of EAR regulations, ECCN classifications, and BIS licensing procedures.
• Experience with deemed export controls and international technology transfer.
• BS/BA degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
• Direct experience classifying hardware, software, and technical data under EAR.

Responsibilities

• Classify product and test chip variants under EAR/ECCN framework.
• Manage BIS license applications, WTEC calculations, and deemed export authorizations.
• Build and maintain automated classification tool.
• Establish Technology Transfer Agreements.
• Coordinate with Legal and Export Control SMEs on complex classifications.
