Job summary

Waymo is expanding its global footprint and seeks a senior program leader to manage international expansion initiatives. The role reports to the Head of Commercialization Program Management and orchestrates cross-functional work across product, engineering, operations, legal, and policy to scale Waymo’s market entries.

The ideal candidate has over 7 years of experience in complex program management, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to drive decisions in ambiguous

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing highly complex cross-functional programs.
• Experience driving international expansion programs with holistic understanding of market-entry functions (Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Policy, External Engagement).
• Strong leadership skills and clear verbal/written communication; ability to navigate ambiguity and drive decisions.
• Significant expertise in scaling processes within complex, growing areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead international expansion programs, building scalable structures to bring Waymo to more countries.
• Drive and own critical path for cross-functional activities into future countries (vehicle, software, regulatory, policy, external engagement, partner readiness).
• Orchestrate deliverables across internal and external teams and improve workflows where needed.
• Proactively identify and remove business-critical risks and dependencies.
• Keep stakeholders informed and aligned; represent programs to senior leadership and escalate blockers when needed.
