Job summary

Robinhood is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a software team driving international launch initiatives, including Robinhood Crypto, in new regions. You will shape architecture, ensure scalable, secure services, and mentor engineers to progress in their careers.

You will partner with product, compliance, and other teams to define technical strategy, deliver features on schedule, and scale Robinhood’s platform for a global user base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams to ship complex products end-to-end, and ensuring high-quality user experiences post-deployment.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business partners to explain technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Experience supporting team development through regular coaching, mentoring, and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support your team of developers, providing clear goals, regular feedback, and structured growth plans.
• Define technical direction and prioritize work with product managers and partner teams to scale international products and systems.
• Ensure backend services and localized products are designed for high availability, performance, and security.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for engineers on your team.
• Coordinate with product, design, and other engineering leads to deliver critical initiatives on schedule and meet metrics.
