Job summary

KPMG LLP seeks a Manager or Senior Manager for Global Executive & Private Clients specializing in Japanese inbound/outbound assignments. You’ll analyze international tax implications and oversee multi-jurisdiction payroll operations, including gross-up calculations and compensation structuring.

Responsibilities extend to global payroll coordination, tax compliance initiatives, and interaction with tax authorities. Senior Manager adds team leadership, mentoring, and cross‑border project oversight.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Japanese and English; strong tax knowledge for international assignees.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business; CPA/JD/LLM/EA or approved credential required within 1 year of hire.
• Experience in Big 4 or similar environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in analyzing the tax implications of working internationally and filing income tax returns in multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist clients in operating their payrolls in the United States and around the world, including gross-up calculations and structuring international compensation.
• Process payroll for international assignments and split payrolls as applicable.
• Provide global coordination with country-specific payroll providers.
• Help clients implement tax compliance and planning processes and technologies.
• Support responses to IRS or other tax authorities.
