TITLE: Global Events Manager
What You’ll Do
As part of the Global Marketing team, the Global Events Manager will lead our global event strategy and drive the execution of field marketing programs worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, detail-oriented professional to create memorable hybrid experiences for an award-winning technology company with bold growth ambitions. We’re looking for an A+ marketer who thrives in a fast-paced B2B environment and is passionate about delivering standout events. You’ll manage all Duck Creek in-person and virtual events in North America — from major Insurtech industry conferences and large-scale user gatherings to executive roundtables and partner experiences.
The ideal candidate is both creative and operationally sharp — just as comfortable building event content and promotional campaigns as they are negotiating with suppliers or running multiple complex programs in parallel. You’re a team player with outstanding communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a love for bringing people together through engaging, high-impact events.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Field and ABM Marketing Managers to design and deliver events that generate pipeline, accelerate deals, and deepen customer relationships. You’ll be instrumental in elevating our brand presence, enhancing customer engagement, and driving growth.
We’re looking for a marketer who’s not just ready to execute — but ready to win.
- Lead the end-to-end execution of in-person, virtual and hybrid events – including roundtables, VIP experiences, Partner Summit and more.
- Direct Formation, our flagship 800+ attendee customer event.
- Partner with Sales to align on global, regional, and local event strategies that drive impact.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to define event goals, target audiences, and messaging.
- Oversee development of promotional campaigns and materials to boost attendance and engagement.
- Manage attendee registration processes and communication to ensure a seamless experience.
- Provide on-site event support, overseeing logistics, staffing, and safety as needed.
- Analyze event performance and attendee feedback to optimize future planning.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and venues, and work with Procurement to negotiate contracts.
- Ensure events adhere to company policies, procedures, and budgets.
- Leverage event management tools to improve efficiency and execution.
- Maintain accurate records of event metrics, expenses, and attendee data.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE:- Bachelor’s or Masters Degree and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
- Broad understanding of best practice in events both in person, digital and hybrid.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and marketing automation/content platforms.
- 3+ years of experience in event planning and coordination in a SaaS technical industry.
- Corporate experience in a marketing position.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors
- Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and an ownership mindset in approaching tasks and challenges.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Must be able to work effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with cross-functional teams, external stakeholders, and effective event coordination.
- Detail-oriented with a strong organizational approach to managing event logistics, attendee data, and maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to suggest innovative solutions, anticipate and resolve challenges during event planning and execution.
- Proficiency with event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, Swoogo) to streamline processes and analyze event success metrics and attendee feedback.
- Awareness of industry trends and best practices in event management, with the ability to adapt plans and strategies in response to changing priorities or circumstances.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively, including a willingness and ability to learn new systems and work in a remote-first setting.
