Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Industries in Simsbury, CT seeks a Director of Global Enterprise Applications to lead strategy, governance, delivery, and continuous improvement of our enterprise applications portfolio. Reporting to the CIO, this leader will own the roadmap for ERP and core platforms, delivering measurable value across a diverse, multi-site organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in IT/CS/engineering/business or related field.
• 15+ years leading enterprise applications or IT programs.
• Experience defining strategy and roadmaps for ERP/platforms.
• Global/multi-site team leadership with senior stakeholders.
• Strong people leadership, talent development, succession planning.
• Vendor/MSP management, governance, and commercial accountability.
• Knowledge of ITGC, SDLC, cybersecurity, and audit readiness.
• Executive communication translating tech to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve enterprise applications strategy and multi-year roadmap.
• Lead ERP/IFS and core business applications across functions.
• Partner with leaders to translate needs into scalable solutions.
• Oversee implementations, upgrades, integrations, stabilization, improvement.
• Establish portfolio prioritization balancing initiatives, risk, and capacity.
• Build a global support model with internal teams and vendors.
• Strengthen governance, controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Develop a nine-person global team across sites in the US and UK.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable apps.
• Define success measures and report portfolio health to execs.
• Apply Kaizen mindset to simplify processes and increase value.
