Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York is seeking an Equity Research Associate to support the equity research and investment process. You will work closely with senior portfolio decision-makers and gain exposure to portfolio construction and manager research.

You will collaborate across global teams and contribute to research depth across global equities, with opportunities to engage in analysis and communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience, preferably in an investment-related role.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, and/or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; comfort with data (coding skills a plus).
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interest in research and markets; understanding of financial fundamentals, risk management topics, and multi-asset portfolio management concepts.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment on a global team.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Head of Equities to conduct original investment research and idea generation across global equities (fundamental and macro; developed and emerging markets).
• Support equity portfolio implementation, including due diligence on third-party funds/vehicles.
• Maintain, develop, and improve internal tools and infrastructure used to monitor markets, track research theses, and support trading and performance analytics.
• Present research findings and portfolio updates to the broader investment team and other stakeholders.
• Conduct meetings with internal and external collaborators (sell-side analysts, industry experts, third-party managers).
• Assist with portfolio management activities including trade planning, pre/post-trade analysis, and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with global internal partners (client advisors, trade execution specialists, and due diligence specialists).
