Job summary

Avangrid in Orange, CT is seeking a procurement and commercial lead to drive and deliver purchases for materials and services. You will lead the competitive bidding process for large EPC and construction projects, evaluate proposals, select suppliers, and manage partnerships to ensure cost reductions and high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of supply management experience.
• Experience conducting RFPs, negotiating pricing and contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
• Experience in economic evaluation for procurement of equipment and construction services.
• Knowledge of global market for electrical equipment and materials; negotiating with global OEMs.
• Experience in transmission, electricity generation, and transmission projects.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and administer RFPs/quotations/information, bid analysis, and risk evaluations for EPC and construction services.
• Evaluate and select suppliers per procurement policy, quality, cost savings, and budgets.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives and improve bottom-line performance.
• Develop and execute procurement sourcing strategies for environmental, engineering, and permitting services.
• Coordinate local US efforts with the global procurement organization and ensure timely delivery at lowest total cost of ownership.
