Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in environmental or natural sciences or related field.
• 15 years experience in chemical environmental risk assessment in pharma/pesticide industry or as consultant.
• Research experience in environmental toxicology or environmental fate.
• Experience with OECD environmental studies and GLPs.
• Proven scientific communication through publications and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ERA Group, setting scientific direction and building capability.
• Own portfolio ERA testing, study governance and submission-ready delivery.
• Direct execution of environmental studies meeting regulatory expectations through CRO partnerships.
• Advance ERA science via cross-functional collaboration and innovative solutions.
• Communicate ERA strategy and regulatory implications to leadership and regulatory functions.
• Advise on discharge limits and implementation strategies to protect people and ecosystems.
• Lead PiE governance with cross-functional partners and external engagement.
• Represent Lilly externally to benchmark guidelines and influence regulatory expectations.
