Lilly in Indianapolis is seeking a senior leader to guide the Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) Group. You will shape strategy, ensure quality, and deliver environmental studies for global regulatory submissions, while mentoring scientists across the portfolio.
You will oversee CRO partners to deliver GLP-compliant reports and drive PiE science through cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, regulatory and R&D teams, safeguarding people and ecosystems.

The Environmental Risk Assessment group provides enterprise leadership for environmental risk assessments (ERAs) that support global regulatory submissions, environmental stewardship commitments and strategic management of issues related to pharmaceuticals in the environment (PiE). Positioned within Lilly’s research and development organisation, the group applies scientific judgement to design fit-for-purpose testing strategies for portfolio assets and to anticipate evolving regulatory expectations.
This scientific role leads the ERA Group and is accountable for the strategy, quality and timely delivery of environmental studies and risk assessments that characterize the interaction of Lilly therapeutics with the environment. The group leader serves as a people leader, scientific leader, strategic consultant and technical expert for PiE-related issues across Lilly’s portfolio, manufacturing network, regulatory functions and external engagement forums.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$148,500 - $257,400
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
