Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, MBA, MPA, or related field.
• J.D. or PhD in Higher Ed/Policy; MBA with emphasis in higher education/Title IV preferred, with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years progressive leadership in higher education compliance, Title IV regulatory oversight, or legal counsel in higher education settings.
• 10+ years preferred in similar compliance/leadership roles with Title IV focus or DOE legal/counseling experience.
• Expert-level mastery of Title IV, FERPA, and higher education regulatory frameworks; strong cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct strategic vision, governance, and long-term planning for enrollment compliance across GEMSS.
• Serve as the University's primary authority on federal and state regulations impacting enrollment and related functions.
• Lead multi-year strategic compliance planning and KPI evolution; allocate staffing and resources; manage executive stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration with the Office of Ethics and Compliance and Office of General Counsel to safeguard institutional integrity.
• De-escalate organizational tension with transparent leadership while protecting revenue continuity for NYU.
