Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced leader to own the operating system for Heavy Duty New Unit Engineering in New York. You will drive demand-capacity planning, lead cross-functional initiatives, and partner with finance on budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities include defining dashboards, implementing lean governance, and translating priorities into executable plans. You will work with executives, build consensus, and lead communications across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable 4-year technical degree.
• 10+ years in engineering/engineering operations/program management or related industrial technology environment.
• Proven ability to lead operating rhythms, resource planning, and large-scale cross-functional initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of Gas Power products, engineering lifecycle processes, and power plant systems.
• Experience with KPIs and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and Lean fundamentals.
• Experience building consensus across diverse functions, regions, and leadership levels.
• Strong financial planning, productivity, cost management, and executive-level materials.
• Data-driven decision making and horizontal leadership abilities.
• Authorized to work in the United States; successful drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Own operating system for Heavy Duty New Unit Engineering including priorities, strategy, reviews, action tracking, and management cadences.
• Lead global demand-capacity planning and resource deployment across commitments, programs, risk reduction, and productivity.
• Partner with finance and engineering on budget planning, forecasts, cost-center discipline, and productivity tracking.
• Define and improve dashboards, metrics, and BI mechanisms for organizational health and execution.
• Drive lean operating rigor through standard work, daily management, KPI development, problem solving, and governance.
• Translate priorities into executable plans, milestones, metrics, risk reviews, and stakeholder alignment.
• Provide operational leadership for AI-enabled ways of working, productivity actions, and value stream improvements.
• Represent Heavy Duty New Unit Engineering in operations forums and translate priorities into execution.
• Prepare executive materials and surface risks; resolve cross-functional roadblocks.
• Lead organizational communications and leadership updates.
