Job summary

Axiom is seeking Employment Lawyers to work with some of the world's largest companies across industries. You will advise HR and management on hiring, performance, discipline, and investigations, and counsel on discrimination and sensitive employee matters.

You will develop HR policies, trainings, and processes including international considerations, and provide wage-and-hour guidance. This role requires strong judgment, communication, and independence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of employment law experience.
• Strong employment counseling background.
• Experience partnering with HR and delivering training.
• Exposure to international employment issues.
• Excellent judgment and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Advise HR and management on hiring, performance, discipline, termination, accommodations, leaves, and investigations.
• Counsel on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other sensitive employee matters.
• Develop and update HR policies, handbooks, and processes, including across international locations with local counsel support.
• Provide guidance on wage and hour compliance (classification, overtime, timekeeping, pay practices).
• Design and deliver HR/employee training on key employment topics.
• Monitor legal developments and update policies, processes, and trainings accordingly.
• Support commercial and corporate work as needed, including contracts with employment-related provisions.
• Contribute to legal templates, playbooks, and process improvements.
