Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a Director of Embedded Firmware in Needham, MA to lead architecture and delivery across the global product portfolio. You will define HAL/API standards, oversee internal and partner firmware programs, and drive robust CI/CD, testing, and governance.

The role demands 12+ years in embedded firmware with 5+ years of leadership, plus strong collaboration with Hardware, Cloud, and Mobile teams to deliver scalable, high-quality products.

Qualifications

• Engage in embedded firmware architecture in a global product portfolio.
• Lead design reviews and enforce engineering standards across internal and external teams.
• Demonstrated leadership of large engineering organizations with delivery accountability.
• Experience defining architecture with ODM/JDM partners and outsourcing governance.
• Proven CI/CD, static analysis, and automated testing for embedded programs.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware architecture, HAL/API standards across product categories globally.
• Define RTOS, connectivity, device intelligence and edge processing standards.
• Drive decisions on MCU/processor, wireless, display technologies and ecosystems.
• Lead US embedded firmware organization; manage internal and supplier work streams.
• Ensure firmware integrates with hardware, cloud services, and apps.
