Job summary

KBI Biopharma in Durham, NC seeks a Director of Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) to lead the company’s EHS&S program across sites. The role drives compliance, continuous improvement and a robust safety culture while aligning governance and budgets.

The Head of EHS&S will implement strategies, processes and metrics to deliver excellent EHS&S outcomes, mentor teams, and manage budgets in a matrix organization. Strong strategic and tactical leadership is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in environmental, health, safety, engineering, or scientific field plus 15 years’ related experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present to executive management.
• Ability to manage multiple programs and work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manages EHS&S program activities and ensures EHS&S compliance
• Develops and implements changes to improve EHS&S performance
• Planning, reporting, metrics, administration activities
• Wastewater and Hazardous Waste programs
• Monitor the work of contracted EHS&S suppliers and service providers
