Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead global Environmental Health and Safety initiatives within the CSRM team. You will drive infrastructure EHS programs, coordinate with site acquisition, design, and sustainability teams, and translate complex data into actionable guidance for executives.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, regulatory compliance (CEQA/NEPA), and extensive stakeholder engagement across major data-center projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience driving infrastructure EHS programs, leading cross-functional teams and executive briefings in tech, industrial energy, or utility construction.
• PE (Professional Engineer), INCE, AICP, or CSP/CIH certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage the global Environmental Health and Safety Technical Infrastructure Planning and Development Strategy, standardizing due diligence and driving mitigation plans.
• Act as the central technical EHS authority for cross-functional and municipal stakeholders, aligning teams and explaining complex designs to external partners.
• Direct EHS reviews for land use, zoning, and urban planning, including CEQA/NEPA, and lead water quality stewardship and hydrology strategies.
• Define and govern mitigations for acoustics, vibration, and air quality, managing specifications for high-density layouts and air quality permitting for backup power assets.
• Lead cross-functional teams and communicate risk and progress to executives and stakeholders.
