Job summary

Woodward, Inc. seeks an onsite EHS leader for a 12–18 month assignment with travel to domestic sites twice per month. The role will drive global EHS policy development, auditing, and implementation while coordinating training programs and risk reduction activities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Physical Science/Engineering.
• 10+ years of combined operations/EHS experience.
• 3–5 years of demonstrated leadership in developing and managing small teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy EHS data collection systems for global data trending and best‑practice sharing.
• Oversee site compliance with EHS regulations through periodic on‑site audits, inspection/monitoring programs, and routine site audits (2–4 per year).
• Implement short‑term and long‑term EHS goals and initiatives, and hold primary responsibility for their tactical execution.
• Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise internal and external EHS compliance programs, procedures, practices, and training curricula, including management of a global audit program.
• Support incident investigations and analysis, including trend analysis and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Monitor proposed changes to EHS regulations and recommend incorporation into EHS management systems and standards.
• Promote an effective culture and communication programs to enhance awareness of health, safety, environmental compliance, and operational performance.
• Provide EHS expertise, guidance, and support to stakeholders, interfacing with departments to align corporate, divisional, and local objectives.
• Implement action plans to meet budgets and performance goals, measuring and reporting progress.
• Lead site EHS efforts during the 12–18 month assignment, including on‑site staff leadership and competency maintenance.
