Job summary

The World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) is seeking a Global Education Manager based in Washington, DC. You will lead planning, development, and evaluation of national educational programs, including Academic WorldQuest, Student Scholars, and Engage America, with partners across the network.

As a senior program leader, you will manage budgets, coordinate with Councils and funders, recruit interns, and advance global education initiatives to deepen communities’ understanding of world affairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, nonprofit management, international studies or related field.
• Five years of related experience in education or nonprofit programming.
• Experience developing and evaluating educational programs.
• Ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication, professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of academic and global education initiatives.
• Develop materials and coordinate programs like Academic WorldQuest and Engage America.
• Manage partnerships with Councils, volunteers, funders, and educators.
• Recruit, onboard, and supervise interns; coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Track outcomes and contribute to program growth and impact.
