Job summary

The Echidna Global Scholars Visiting Fellowship is hosted by the Brookings Institution's Center for Universal Education in Washington, D.C. This short-term, on-site fellowship supports senior researchers from Global South with 10+ years of experience to conduct policy-relevant work on gender equality in education.

Scholars complete a multi-phase program including pre-residency data work, a four-month residency in D.C., and post-residency activities, with a total stipend of $26,500 and visa,

Qualifications

• Background in education, gender and/or related fields.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in research or related sectors.
• Master’s degree required.
• Strong analytical and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and draft an evidence-based policy paper.
• Present research and policy recommendations at Brookings events.
• Participate in leadership development and multiple workshops.
• Develop a post-residency project proposal.
• Engage with Brookings scholars and community members at events.
