Job summary

Cobelfret, a well-established dry bulk shipping group with offices in Luxembourg, Singapore, Miami and other ports, is seeking a Dry Bulk Ship Operator for its Miami branch. You will manage day-to-day vessel and voyage operations, monitor performance, coordinate with masters, owners, charterers and brokers, and work closely with Antwerp and Singapore teams.

Requirements include at least 3 years in dry bulk operations, a relevant degree, fluency in English (Spanish a plus), US work authorization

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in the operations department of a dry bulk shipping company.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Degree or diploma relevant to maritime and/or shipping industry is a plus.
Having worked with IMOS software is an advantage.
Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus. Additional languages are an advantage.
Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

Managing all day-to-day operational aspects of assigned vessels and voyages.
Coordinating vessel operations to optimize P&L performance.
Liaising with masters, owners, agents, charterers, and brokers up to the contractual obligations.
Communicating daily with international teams in Antwerp and Singapore.
Timely, accurate administration of operational activities.
Proactively preventing and resolving disputes.
