Job summary
Amgen in Thousand Oaks seeks a Senior Director - Engineering Technical Authority (Drug Substance, Infrastructure, and Single-Use) to lead enterprise technical direction for the Drug Substance network and related infrastructure. This global role shapes strategy, drives capital projects, and ensures scalable, compliant engineering across sites.
The successful candidate will have advanced engineering qualifications and 5–11 years of leadership experience, with deep knowledge of biologics
Qualifications
- Design and implement enterprise technical direction for Drug Substance networks.
- Leadership experience in regulated, biologics manufacturing environments.
- Experience with capital projects, lifecycle asset management, and global network initiatives.
- Strong ability to align technical strategy with project execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide enterprise technical leadership for Drug Substance and Single-Use systems.
- Set technical directions, standards, and practices across projects, sites, and network priorities.
- Lead ETA organization development, coaching sequence of technical leaders and engineers.
- Represent Amgen with external firms, societies, and regulatory bodies as needed.
