Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services is seeking a Dispatcher/Coordinator in the United States to join a fast-paced environment that centers around coordinating shipments, communicating with customers, and ensuring freight moves efficiently worldwide. The role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 4 years related experience in international transportation/logistics
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with MS Excel and Word
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience/exposure to domestic and international logistics and transportation
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations, US Customs Compliance, C-TPAT, FAST, PIP and/or ACE e-Manifest
• Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace
• Good knowledge of geographical countries to facilitate routing

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and vendors professionally
• Record and allocate pickup/delivery within established countries
• Maintain daily entry in freight management systems for domestic/international freight
• Maintain records for customer billing
• Direct dispatch of drivers and vendor drivers
• Negotiate pricing with current and potential vendors
• Maintain daily contact with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
• Maintain Mexican Inventory with accurate records for proper billing
• Document, investigate and report damaged customer material
• Maintain metric reports as required by management/customers
• Proactively seek new pricing with vendors
• Complete administrative duties timely and accurately
• Maintain specified spreadsheets
• Maintain written/computerized records and other forms of information
