Job summary

Divergent, based in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Director of Supplier Quality to lead global supplier quality strategy from prototype through production. This hands‑on leadership role blends strategic quality management with deep supplier engagement across engineering and manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in supplier quality, automotive/aerospace exposure, and a track record scaling quality systems in high-growth environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or related roles.
• Proven leadership experience managing SQE or quality teams.
• Deep experience in automotive, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality strategy, governance and operating model.
• Define qualification frameworks, pre‑award audits and PPAP submissions.
• Drive supplier performance via scorecards, MBRs/QBRs and COPQ reduction.
• Oversee APQP execution across programs from prototype to production.
• Lead corrective action and 8D, root-cause analysis and containment actions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams with Engineering, Sourcing and Manufacturing.
