Job summary

CAI is seeking a Global Director, General Ledger to lead the global Record-to-Report process across the enterprise. You will oversee monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany activity, fixed assets, and consolidation efforts.

The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, multi-entity leadership, and collaboration with FP&A and Tax & Audit to ensure timely, accurate financial statements across all entities and countries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting, general ledger, controllership, consolidation, or record-to-report experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, close management tools, multi-currency accounting, intercompany processes, acquisition integration, and internal controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the global Record-to-Report process, including close calendar management, journal entry standards, account reconciliations, accruals, allocations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and consolidation support.
• Establish global GL policies, procedures, account ownership standards, reconciliation templates, close checklists, certification requirements, and quality review routines.
• Provide technical accounting expertise on the interpretation and application of accounting standards; monitor changes and implement across the organization.
• Lead monthly and annual close execution across countries, shared services, and local finance teams, ensuring deadlines and reporting dependencies are met.
• Maintain governance over the chart of accounts, legal entity structure, department and practice coding, cost centers, intercompany accounts, and reporting attributes.
• Partner with FP&A to ensure actual results support management reporting, KPI analysis, profitability views, and decision support.
• Partner with Tax & Audit to support compliance and audit activities with accurate schedules.
• Support acquisition integration by mapping ledgers, converting COA, opening balance sheet support, and standardizing close processes.
• Strengthen controls over manual journals, reconciliations, intercompany settlements, fixed assets, and close certifications.
