Job summary

Orca Bio seeks a Director of Medical Information to lead and expand the global Medical Information service within Medical Affairs, supporting a commercial launch. You will oversee the MI call center, develop materials, and participate in cross-functional reviews to ensure scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Pharm.D. or Ph.D., 8+ years in MI or pharma, hematology/oncology and cell therapy knowledge, and experience with MI databases and review committees.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical/Scientific degree required (Pharm.D. or Ph.D. preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in medical information or relevant pharmaceutical industry roles.
• Hematology/Oncology experience, cell therapy knowledge preferred.
• Experience serving on promotional and medical review committees.
• Experience managing an external medical information call center.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory guidelines in pharma.
• Strong computer skills with platforms like Veeva, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and MI databases.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Global Medical Information capability within Medical Affairs and manage the budget.
• Collaborate with Safety and QA on adverse events and product quality issues; ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee Medical Information call center across geographies; align processes and tech.
• Contribute to congress planning and on-site medical information representation.
• Develop and maintain Medical Information materials: standard responses, FAQs, scientific content.
• Review promotional and non-promotional materials as part of Medical/Promotional Review Committees.
• Create dashboards to track MI activities and identify trends or data gaps.
• Collaborate with HEOR on AMCP dossiers with data input and reviews.
• Train staff on the process for unsolicited MI requests.
