Job summary

Starwood Hotels seeks an exceptional Corporate Director of Engineering to lead engineering operations and capital planning across its portfolio of operating luxury and lifestyle hotels, including 1 Hotels, Baccarat Hotels, and Treehouse Hotels.

The role reports to the SVP of Operations and demands 15+ years in engineering leadership within hospitality, with expertise in building systems, preventive maintenance, and CAPEX management. Willingness to travel to properties worldwide is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering, facilities, asset management, or technical operations experience with leadership responsibility in luxury hospitality.
• Deep knowledge of central HVAC plants, controls/BMS, electrical distribution, emergency power, plumbing, vertical transportation and life safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering operations and capital programs across multiple hotels.
• Develop and prioritize multi-year CAPEX plans and build business cases for investments.
• Communicate investment recommendations to senior leadership and ownership groups.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with GM, Finance, Design & Construction, Sustainability and IT.
