Zipline, based in South San Francisco, seeks a Director of Cybersecurity to lead company-wide information security and privacy strategy. You will guide a lean, technical team across application, product and corporate security, prioritizing top risks and partnering with engineering to build scalable controls.

You’ll define and communicate a clear security strategy and work hands-on with engineers to address high-priority risks.

Qualifikationen

• Proven senior leadership experience in a highly technical, fast-paced organization.
• Experience owning security strategy and hands-on execution across information security, product security, or security engineering.
• A software engineering foundation with production software or security systems experience.
• Technical depth across application, infrastructure, cloud, identity, data, and hardware security.

Aufgaben

• Set security and privacy strategy, risk posture, roadmap, operating model, and investment priorities across product, infrastructure, data, and corporate systems.
• Identify and sequence the company’s highest-consequence risks, driving remediation decisions with Engineering, IT, Legal, Safety, Operations, and Physical Security.
• Be a pragmatic problem solver who helps engineering teams move quickly and securely, building tools and processes for secure development.
• Communicate material security and privacy risk clearly to leaders and partners, translating findings into business decisions.
• Lead a software security engineering team that owns security capabilities in production and collaborates with Engineering to reduce vulnerabilities.
• Build and develop a high-performing team through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Establish security architecture for identity, access control, secrets, data protection, applications, cloud, embedded software, aircraft, and field infrastructure.
• Lead threat modeling, testing, vulnerability management, incident response, and security reviews; measure risk coverage and control effectiveness.
