Job summary

UNLV seeks a Director of International Student and Scholar Compliance to lead the ISSC advising team and collaborate with colleges, admissions, registrar, HR, and student affairs to optimize international students' and scholars' experiences. The role facilitates arrival and regulatory compliance, manages immigration requests, and coordinates petitions with outside counsel.

The Director signs immigration petitions and guides recruiting, retention, and graduation of international students,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with CHEA recognition.
• 3-5 years of experience as a DSO/PDSO/RO/ARO, or equivalent, in compliance.
• 3-5 years working with international students/scholars in a higher ed setting.
• 3-5 years of staff supervision; 1-3 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee international student and scholar services and advise teams.
• Coordinate arrival and regulatory compliance for international students and scholars.
• Process immigration requests and coordinate permanent residency petitions with outside counsel.
• Act as authorized signatory for UNLV-sponsored immigration petitions and supervise client services.
• Support enrollment growth, diversity and inclusive access across the lifecycle.
